Expert housing panel members needed
Lead the conversation on housing in the West of England
We’re seeking applications to join an expert panel of built environment industry leaders to explore ways to address the housing crisis in the West of England.
Our panel of up to 12 professionals will play an important role in leading the conversation about one of our region’s most urgent and pressing challenges. With tens of thousands of people on waiting lists and housing recognised by government as a priority, it’s a good time to come together to highlight and press for solutions.
Anna Rutherford, Design West Director, said: “We want to provide a platform for senior professionals to explore and propose innovative for our region’s housing needs.
“This is why we are convening an expert group to put together realistic solutions from our sector.
“This is one of several panels plan to form over the coming months, to look closely at key challenges facing our region. Our sector has a vital role to play in supporting successful, prosperous places. This group provides an opportunity to gather insights from across different disciplines and share innovative ideas that can drive real change.”
Anna added: “We also want to gather examples of great practice in our region and further afield to support this work and feed into our Festival of Design, which we’re planning for next year.
“We’re looking forward to hearing from those who are ready to make a meaningful impact on our region.”
What we want to achieve
The expert panel will play an important role in helping us deliver:
- A hard-hitting report, based on insights from our industry, with credible recommendations for decision makers.

We will provide resources and expertise to support the panel’s work to shape the report and plans for communication.
