In September, Design West hosted a lively debate on the hotly contested topic of public loos. Attended by main stakeholders including – councillors, business leaders, architects, access experts, campaigners the hospitality sector and members of the public. The debate delved into the (t)issues of public toilets in our cities.
Over the past 15 years Local Authority spending on Public Toilets has halved, with over 1,000 shut across the country and 1 in 5 people reporting fear of leaving their home and being caught short. How do we solve access?
