Sketch Evening @ Design West

Join us from 6pm on Wednesday the 16th of February for an evening of sketching to explore designs for this year’s live build.

The sketch evening is a creative social gathering with a real community impact. Bring your ideas for animating the space on Narrow Quay to make the venue an asset for the city. Last year, we built a wonderful community hub at Temple Church in collaboration with UWE Bristol, English Heritage & the Landscape Institute*This year we want the live build to animate the space outside Design West, our centre for design & placemaking at Narrow Quay.

CAN I JOIN?

Everyone is welcome, but we’re particularly keen to connect with architects, urban designers, artists, makers & creative thinkers. Whether you’re in practice, retired, a student, or just an enthusiast!

ABOUT THE LIVE BUILD

Will the design be:

• Temporary/permanent?
• Canopy/seater/planter?
• Modular interventions at different scales?
• How will it be inhabited/accessed/viewed?

Constructed in June, the live build sees volunteers in collaboration with students from our talent accelerator programme, Shape My City, come together to share & learn skills and see a project come to life!
