Welcome to Bristol Jazz Club.
Sisanda’s music carries memory and spirit while pushing boldly into the future. – EarTrumpet Music
Music has always been a part of Sisanda Myataza’s life. From the legacy of her great great grandfather, the choral composer BB Myataza, this artist was born to perform. Growing up in the new dawn of post-apartheid South Africa, she considers music her birthright.
A remarkable singer, Sisanda’s rich soulful voice is garnering acclaim around the world. Since winning the ESP YoungLegends award at Africa’s Grandest Gathering (2017) she’s been selected for Trans Musicales (France), Cape Town Jazz Festival and The Great Escape (Brighton).
Sisanda has been active in the Bristol music scene for almost a decade, both as a solo artist and with her various projects (including SØngo, a band known for their sold out shows across the city).
She’s now bringing fresh energy to Bristol Jazz Club with her new project: Champagne Chateau, a swing jazz band formed in October 2025, following a spontaneous performance at the opening of Blakehay Theatre.
Alongside Sisanda, the band consists of jazz guitarist, Roi Geyari and John Graham on Piano and Clarinet. Champagne Chateau are bringing their lively, soulful jazz to The Architect in June.
