An Icon of Industry for 90 years, the Battersea Power Station fell into disrepair when it was decommissioned in the 1980s. After decades of neglect, this London Landmark has been brought back to life with a sensitive design and restoration. London’s largest regeneration project is now home to shops, cafes, housing, a hotel & restaurants this repurposed behemouth is once again a hive of activity.

Sebastien Ricard

Sebastien is a director at WilkinsonEyre, responsible for a variety of projects in the UK and internationally, including cultural, commercial, mixed-use & bridge sectors. He was the project director for Battersea Power Station, the major restoration and repurposing of the iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station.

He designed and delivered the Crystal building in London’s Royal Docks, a showcase of architectural sustainability & was designed to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and LEED Platinum. He also led the Bath Southgate transport interchange (refurbishment of the grade 2* listed Brunel building, new bus station, new public piazza & including a series of retail units).
