About the course
Time to dust down your sketchbook for a new challenge?
Whether you’re a practiced Urban Sketcher, or completely new to drawing, explore Bristol’s excellent cross section of historic architecture with this 6 week sketching course.
Using simple sketching materials and the photographic reference provided, we will look at a specific Bristolian building each week and run through different approaches; allowing you to consider its three dimensional form, the perspective and tonal range of each view.
Drawing allows us to truly engage with the built environment and to analyse a range of architectural styles, Using an accessible, classroom based approach and working solely in pencil, this short course will provide an ideal starting point for a renewed exploration of our city.
